A Wonderful Year

Sir was shown in Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR

The year has flown by, starting with a back to back Class A show in Spokane over Memorial Weekend. It was a blast and Sir was back in the ring and his 2012 colt, Trillium Knight, got his first taste of Class A show environment in halter class.

Sir has produced a couple beautiful part bred fillies and another stunning purebred colt. His 2014 colt is almost his miniature with 4 socks and a strip, super sweet and growing incredibly fast.

This fall, Trillium Knight has started saddle training and he is doing wonderfully. He gets more confident moving forward with every ride and is always more than willing to slow down. He also has enjoyed having some trail time as arenas and round pens are somewhat dull.

Prepping for Shows

DA Sir Dierich
Started practicing for the Memorial Day Classic Horse Show this past fall. The Interstate Fair in Spokane has an Open Horse Show which provided a fun introduction for exposing the young ones to what a horse show was like. This was the first time away from home for two of Sir's babies, both Allie (Almost Dreaming) and Jewel (Moonlyte Jewel) had their first trailer ride along with their first exposure to a horse show and they had a very positive experience.

Jewel was all ears for the entire show
Only a few practice sessions and she was giving it everything

Trillium Knight was very relaxed in the ring

Trillium wanted to investigate the ribbons

This was an excellent start to prepare for the big show at the end of May 2014. The babies did very well with the new experience and Sir still knew what it was all about. Many ribbons were taken home and more training and practice to come in the upcoming months.
